The Spanish Royal Academy of Language defines Mentor as a counselor, guide, teacher or sponsor. In Wikipedia a mentor is someone with more experience or knowledge that helps a person with less experience or knowledge. The International Mentoring Association (IMA) defines Mentoring as a complex process of support, guidance and learning based on experience, competence, confidentiality and trust, in order to promote personal growth and development of others in business, education and all areas of life.
Mentoring can develop in companies oriented business world, organizations in the field of social economy, and on a personal level, oriented governance of an educational-social process of an individual or the management of a family heritage.

AMCES is mainly oriented to Mentoring for entrepreneurs and therefore aimed at both people involved in a business project, a startup or growing SMEs, and organizations with social purposes.

Anyone with experience, entrepreneurs, managers, owners, academics, etc., they feel the pleasure to convey their knowledge to people starting a business or social project and they are willing to make an investment of their time, with commitment.

One of the purposes of AMCES is to encourage more people from these profiles to help spanish entrepreneurs, with the support of international protocols and standards, with the ability to share their experiences with other colleagues, and possibly with specific training, to contribute to economic and social development of our country.

Anyone can exercise as an informal Mentor and indeed this is what is happening in most of the world except USA and countries of anglo-saxon tradition, where the Mentoring formally is exercised under protocols, processes and their if accreditation, sponsored by associations mentors.

The exercise of Mentoring formally, as the main benefit, establishes a framework of consensus and clear rules which ensures the quality of the process (competition, suitability, objectives, compensation, etc.) and provide assurance of the effectiveness of relation to both parties.
AMCES has as one of its objectives to promote the formal Mentoring in Spain.

Unlike other professional figures close to Mentoring (Consulting or Coaching), the main interest of Mentor is to help other people putting in value the skills and experience he has accumulated in his life. Primarily motivates personal satisfaction.

Obviously, within a framework of freedom of negotiation between the two parties, each Mentor may agree that expects compensation of their effort. In AMCES we promote the Mentor compensation must be provided to the dedication and achievements of his performance.

In the field of business, for example, an international standard Mentoring is a commitment of four hours at a monthly meeting with the management team against a choice of share ownership, in case of tangible achievements, between the one and the five percent stake in the startup or company.

Persons wishing to practice as a Mentor or they are already doing informally have a digital platform with maximum viewing your profile and availability to the entrepreneurial world that they allow them to start or increase their activity.

The Mentor registered AMCES, who has already published the areas of their preferences and specialties (geographical, sector, etc.) and under what conditions is willing to exercise Mentor, received directly proposals “as” mentoring by the entrepreneurial world beyond their own contacts.
AMCES also facilitates collaborative information on standards and best practices, an ethical code and the ability to share experiences with other colleagues at the national or international level.

Entrepreneurs can freely consult the digital base Mentors registered in AMCES, simply by registering at no cost, and apply one or more contacts to join those who fit their interests.

Mentors with whom they are going to see, in any case they meet the parameters of interest in finding them because that task has been filtered by AMCES.

Consulting is a professional service provided by companies or individual professionals who advise other companies, groups of companies, countries or organizations, usually in specific areas.
The Coach is an individual who trains one or more people through tactics to develop efficiency, improve performance and achieve the goals or targets within the time limits from the capacities, skills and specific resources existing in the current scenario.

The Mentor is an individual person who guides or accompanies a person or persons to make decisions and solve challenges or corporate or management team problems in the medium and long term, which is their natural play space, often changing vision, plan or strategy and getting involved in its evolution. Sometimes Mentors prescribe the intervention of a consultant for the development of a specific plan, or a coach, to increase job skills of the individual or group as part of a global strategy.
Three roles are different purposes, nonoverlapping and perfectly compatible.
